The Firm

The Boselli-owned firm dates as far back as 1442. In its more recent history, the main character is GIANNI BOSELLI and his wife, GRAZIELLA, along with mammy Rosa, who have been carrying on the good work of daddy LUCIANO with great enthusiasm and energy. Since 1997, the firm is in the hands of GIANNI and his son, MASSIMO, who has wholeheartedly decided to dedicate his time to the family firm. From 2013 the firm is in the hands of Massimo and Morena and they give more continuos quality in the wines, in the system of  working and in the marketing.

The REALE Cellar lies on the Mantuan Morenic Hills, at an altitude of 100m. a few kilometres from Lake Garda, in the District of Volta Mantovana, surrounded by the River Mincio Park.

The firm stands on 18 hectares of vineyards from which the grapes are transformed into wine, then bottled and later commercialised. The REALE Cellar is a small firm which has been working for many years on top quality, after having invested so much in the vineyards themselves, in the modern vinification and stock cellars, in the ageing cellar for the important red wines and lastly in the bottling premises.

Among the wines produced in the firm are the Gargantilia, Lunula (Pink), Balasso (Ruby-coloured), Iacinto, Voltese and Morena are the simple wines;  as well as the Crestale, Vigna del Moro, Barcoli, Lorenzo and Matteo the top wines, don’t forghet the special sweet wines Mantopass and Rosso del Ciano.

The winery

The winery has been repaired and renovated in 2015, is made of stainless steel tanksthermo-conditioned electronically to control the temperature of fermentation of mustsand wines, from the point of sale area in which the bottles are stored ready for sale alsoprivate room for the local refining and bottling facilities.

The vineyards

The main varieties grown are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese for red wines and Corvina, Garganega, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Trebbiano for white wines.

The farming systems are the Guyot and cordon.

In recent decades the company has renewed the vineyards adopting planting density for more high quality grapes. The harvest is manual and mechanical.
