Come appare dal libro di Padre Baccanti sulla Beata Paola Montaldi, la cantina Reale dei Boselli di Volta Mantovana era già celebre nel settecento.
Ma secondo la narrazione fatta nello stesso volume, la cantina esisteva nel 1442.
